SOLD!

Today my first sold piece will be picked up by it's new owner.  I had not even had a chance to post about it so here goes.  I got this desk at a yard sale a little while ago, and it was yelling at me to paint it red.  With all the white re-dos I see all over blog land I figured I'd try my hand at something different.  The desk was nice to begin with, no major flaws.
Here is the before-
 After

I think it looks a little like an old barn door.  I hope she's happy in her new home...
What do you think, do you like the bold red?

  1. I love red...but I have to admit that I'm a sucker for all white stuff too!

What did you use to paint the red? Was it a paint or more of a stain/glaze?

I made over a chair to red not too long ago and would love a similar desk to go with it.

I found you on the Shabby Chic Cottage.
