Take two

This is the first time I've ever re-done a piece that has not sold.  Many, many months have passed since I did this dresser .  It has sat in waiting in my dining room as I ate breakfast and looked at it, as I ate lunch and looked, and we all noticed it at dinner.  "What should I do with this?"  I asked myself over and over again.  It is a beautiful piece, that did not need painting.  But after I won some Annie Sloan stuffies, I figured it was high time I try out that silly old chalk paint I've been hearing so much about.  And yes, it is great yadda, yadda, yadda.

 The color is Provence, and then a dark wax rubbed over it
* SOLD*

Would be perfect as an entry table. To collect mail, keys and such as you walk in the door.

  8. Hi Kathleen,

    Your dresser is gorgeous! I just love Provence. I did a wall treatment in my dd's room that I will be sharing soon with it. I love how you used the dark wax. Your aging of the piece is perfection. I just love it!

  13. This is very similar to a chest I bought a couple of weeks ago. I said I wasn't going to paint it, but this really is making me think differently.

  15. The dresser is awesome and I love the color, but what really rocked my world was how you used just the handle part of the hardware. I just painted a dresser with similar pulls and I can't wait to get home and see if I can take them apart and use just the handle. That, and I'm beyond in love with the color on the door in the background. :)

  21. Thank you for another link on The CSI Project. I think your dresser turned out a lot better than your first try. I think it is good that you tried again after not being able to sell it.

  22. OMG OMG OMG.
    I just saw this dresser at a thrift store today. I went back to look at it a billion times. I just couldn't justify another dresser. I am a sucker for dressers, credenzas and chairs. Now you've given me the justification I needed to go back tomorrow and GET THIS DRESSER. I think I love you. :) YEAH! Thank you.
