Provence Dresser and baby news.

This has been a very exciting, busy summer for our family.  Which is why you haven't seen me around much.

I want to share with you all some of the most exciting news I've ever received in my life.  I'm carrying a little boy inside me.

With my two girls, it came as no surprise when the doctor revealed their gender.  I knew in my heart that both of them were girls.  This one, I was only about 70% sure.

So when we saw the little boy parts on the screen, I was shocked and confused.  "What in the world am I going to do with a little boy?!"  I'll be honest with you, I was not expecting that.

But now that I've had a few days to get used to the idea, I'm becoming very excited.  I know boys pretty well. During my young babysitting career I watched mostly boys, and I have two male nephews.  So I have a general idea of what to expect.  Hence my apprehension about having a boy.  They are busy!  But I know how imaginative and fun they are, so I'm really looking forward to the new addition to our family.

Anyway, onto the next topic at hand, my new dresser.

The color is Annie Sloan's Provence.

Hope you all have a great week!  Hopefully we will get at least one sunny day with no rain.

  3. Congratulations on your little man! I have 3 boys, so I can say definitely that YES they are VERY busy. I still have to laugh a little at my SIL...they have 2 girls, and then my nephew came along. I tried to tell her that they are all born knowing how to make gross noises, be loud & gross, and get dirty. Well, after Jaxon ate a dead cockroach, learned how to make fart noises and discovered the joys of dirt...yeah. Did I mention he's 11 months old! LOL

The dresser is gorgeous - I wish I lived close so I could snap it up!

  10. Congratulations on your news! You must be over the moon! The dresser turned out beautifully, especially in Provence. And thank you for putting the drawer pulls in correctly! Every now and then I see pictures where the pulls are upside down..not sure why...
