Inspiration for Big Girl Room

I'm currently working on a piece for my daughters new big girl room.  We will be welcoming our little one in August and she will have to for go the crib for a new twin sized bed.  I've been on the hunt for a cool old vintage/antique bed that I can spruce up. I've been looking at these photos for inspiration.

I love, love, love what Holly did for Wren over at

I'm also really loving this trundle bed from

And this headboard looks like it would be pretty easy to make
Pottery Barn

But, alas we are on a very tight budget so I will be hunting through thrift stores and Craigslist for my baby girls new room.

  2. I absolutely love these inspiration ideas. I have a young girl going into her teens and I'm trying to do the same thing on a Craigslist budget. I think we can do it though! Good luck and these rooms are gorgeous!

  6. oh you can so do it on a budget! emmy's room was all budget- no furniture piece in there cost me more than $50, with exception only to her mattress set, which is kind of a necessity. :) i can't wait to see what you come up with- it is going to be beautiful, i know.
