I thought maybe some of you might want to know how to line your drawers with your favorite fabric. Like the ones I did here on this side table.
It is a pretty simple project all you need are scissors, mod podge, measuring tape, and a yard of fabric.
First measure your drawer. I used a ruler and a pencil to make my marks and then cut straight lines.
Spread a layer of mod podge on the bottom of the drawer, then lay your piece of fabric down and smooth out all the bubbles. Then, spread another layer of mod podge in the corners and around the edges of the fabric. Let dry and your done!

BRILLIANT!!!! I LOVE this idea. I just got a dresser on line for free. It kinda smells like an old person and I can't wait to paint it and do this to the drawers. Here's the thing....I've never painted a thing yet so I need to absorb every awesome detail of your blog and get the guts to go for it.
ReplyDeleteVery cute fabric, love it!

Great idea! Love the fabric.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I want to try this with an old desk I am refinishing, but I wasn't sure whether fabric or paper would be better. Thanks for sharing!
