When we bought this house, I knew I wanted one of the rooms to be the library. And I always have to say it with my nose in the air and the snootiest accent I can muster.
That's the best way to say it.
And here is "The liiiiibrary."
Way before, before Pinterest or this blog was even a thought in my brain.
Here are a couple shots of how it has looked for five years.
I slowly but surely collected unique pieces of furniture to make this room inviting and comfortable.
As of today
The color on the wall is Ashwood, trim is White Dove both by Benjamin Moore.
Ever since moving the computer into this room, I'm in here a lot more. So I wanted a space that would be cozy and practical.
oh daaarling, your liiiibrary is diving. a true piece do resisatance. ;) how is that- can we hang out? am i cool enough?
ReplyDeletethis i a beatiful room. you did an outstanding job.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning job! Thanks for sharing the lovliness. Patti
ReplyDeleteYour library looks wonderful. That sofa is beautiful. I'd like to know how you got the cushion that way. I tried to communicate that vision to my upholstery guy and totally failed. He delivered a cushion that was stuffed with a block of foam that is as firm as a brick. Now, the cushion re-do is on my list of things to fix myself.
ReplyDeleteWe have a room that could be a library. Now, I'm inspired!
Kathleen,
Delete(Weird writing my own name :) The cushion is down filled. I just reused the one from the old couch.
