Today my first sold piece will be picked up by it's new owner. I had not even had a chance to post about it so here goes. I got this desk at a yard sale a little while ago, and it was yelling at me to paint it red. With all the white re-dos I see all over blog land I figured I'd try my hand at something different. The desk was nice to begin with, no major flaws.
Here is the before-
After
I think it looks a little like an old barn door. I hope she's happy in her new home...
What do you think, do you like the bold red?
I just found your blog and love this desk. I picked up a awesome desk yesterday from the goodwill that could use a new paint job. Could you break down how you did it for me. Did you use red stain or a certain paint etc..., thanks. my email is markanddonna@bellsouth.net. I love your blog!!
GORG. love it, its the same red with that same worn peeking through as my red hutch that I love. It looks great, CONGRATS on the sell. Thanks for linking too. Jenn
