Here is the before
After
I used some old hardware from another piece, and spray painted it oil rubbed bronze. Sanded and stained the top dark walnut. Distressed the edges and rubbed in a dark glaze.
So there you have it, my hard work for all to see. I hope you enjoy it!

Totally gorgeous! This would cost a bundle if you found it in a designer showroom.
ReplyDeleteAh dang it! I was going to ask what paint color you used but it's a modge podge, it looks really really great. I'm doing the same thing with a dresser I got for $25. The top was laminate so I busted it off and am building a new one out of planks, and also plan to do the dark stain on top. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThat looks terrific! I have been thinking of doing the same thing and I can't find a shade of green that I like but I love yours. What color is that?
