Between Blue and Yellow: Side tables before/after

As promised here are the side tables I've been working on for the past week. These were very nice tables, solid wood, no defects of any kind. It's so much easier to work with a piece that requires little improvements.I purchased these tables from an estate sale a while back. They had great structure and elegant details.

Before

I sanded the tops down really well, and applied a dark walnut stain. I didn't sand the rest of the piece, just used oil based primer. I painted it a mix of a pale green, gray and white.
After

I really really like the combination of staining the top and painting the base. I am for sure going to do this on my next makeover. There is so much potential with end tables! Thanks for sharing. Man, I've been looking for side tables like this! I need some that are a little wider than traditional ones, just like these. They would look perfect in my bedroom as is. Lovely job!

These are gorgeous! I love the dark walnut tops and the color you mixed is really nice! Great combination. The glass knobs look great. You did a beautiful job!
